The world is a hellish place, and bad writing is destroying the quality of our suffering.

The Last Testament

Hitting rock bottom isn’t what Simon thought it would be. Debt. Online classes. No friends. When he witnesses his girlfriend’s infidelity, he has nothing else to hold onto. In a haze he gets in his car, a six pack in hand and no destination in mind. Simon has a secret no one is ready to believe. On the side of the road, drunk and without hope, leaning against a large blue lighthouse in the center of Kentucky, he found Jesus… Literally.

The Core

Thousands of people have gone missing around the globe. All people find are letters saying goodbye and a white card with a black circle in the middle. THE CORE is an organization that goes back millennia. What some call a cult used to be how the world was organized, but through time, and violence, memories have been erased. Now, however, THE CORE is on the rise, and behind it all is a man named Alex. AVAILABLE for pre-order, release date May 5th, 2022.

About

Tommy Williford and Barbara Bush

Tommy Williford was born in Raleigh, North Carolina but raised along the coast in churches, locker rooms, and broken homes. He holds a B.A. in English from The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina and an M.A. in English from Appalachian State University. He did his doctoral work in Social Foundations of Education at The University of Georgia.

His work has been published in academic journals and as book chapters, and he has presented and held workshops for national and international audiences. His first novel, THE LAST TESTAMENT, was published in 2019.

Williford’s work explores dichotomies and compromises as well as identity formation. He supports the multitude, fluid identity, and social notions of self. His works of fiction are described as a mixture of speculative fiction, satire, and neo-noir.

He lives in rural Kentucky with his wife and dogs where he gardens, writes, and seeks peace in an absurd world.
